Terms of Service & License Agreement

By creating a SlamDunkScout account, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully — they govern your use of the platform, your scouting data, and the relationship between you and the SDS team.

§1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“Subscriber”) and SlamDunkScout d.o.o., the operator of the SDS scouting platform (“SDS”, “we”, “us”). By registering, signing in, or otherwise accessing the platform, Subscriber confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

§2License Grant

Subject to ongoing compliance with these Terms and timely payment of the fees applicable to the chosen subscription tier, SDS grants Subscriber a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform solely for Subscriber’s internal scouting and player evaluation activities. The license is personal to the Subscriber identified in the registration form; it may not be sublicensed, resold, or shared with third parties without prior written consent.

§3Restrictions on Use

Subscriber shall not, directly or indirectly: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of the platform; (b) scrape, crawl, mirror, or otherwise extract bulk data from the platform other than through interactive use of the user interface; (c) resell, redistribute, or republish player records, scouting reports, or other platform data to any third party as part of a competing product or service; (d) use the platform to develop or train any machine-learning model intended to compete with SDS or its data providers.

§4Subscriber Data & Privacy

SDS collects the registration details Subscriber provides (email, full name, organization, plan selection) to operate the platform and communicate billing or service notices. Scouting notes, watchlists, draft boards, and similar content created by Subscriber are stored on SDS infrastructure on Subscriber’s behalf and remain Subscriber’s intellectual property (subject to Section 5). SDS will not sell or rent personal data to third parties. Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics may be used to improve the service.

§5Intellectual Property

The SDS platform, including all software, design, brand assets, the Etalon Engine archetype scoring system, the SDS Index, and all derivative analytical models, is the exclusive property of SDS and is protected by copyright and trade-secret law. Player statistics, team rosters, league catalog data, and game results are sourced from licensed third-party providers and remain the property of their respective owners. Subscriber retains ownership of original scouting notes and watchlist configurations created by Subscriber while using the platform.

§6Disclaimer of Warranty

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. SDS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of player statistics, scouting reports, or any other information displayed. Scouting and player-evaluation decisions made on the basis of platform data are the sole responsibility of the Subscriber. SDS is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Subscriber’s use of the platform.

§7Termination

Subscriber may cancel the subscription at any time through the account settings. SDS may suspend or terminate access without notice in the event of material breach of these Terms, non-payment of fees, or activity that threatens platform security or integrity. Upon termination, Subscriber’s license to use the platform ends immediately; Subscriber may request export of personal scouting notes within 30 days of termination.

§8Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or use of the platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Belgrade, Serbia. The parties shall first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation.
